    I feel that what encumbers most companies is that they view social media as this strange foreign thing and then aren’t sure why they come across as strange and foreign in their tone.

      That is one of my favorite quotes as well. If you act normal and engage people, things will be fine. Don’t act fake or over think what you should say. Be yourself, be confident and sincere. My analogy is this. It is similar to when you are watching your favorite team, it is the end of the 4th quarter with the game tied and your team has the ball. Your wife begins to talk to you, as you answer her (while still staring at the TV) she knows your answers are not sincere and disengages the conversation. She walks away knowing that your response was an “auto-response”. She knows you REALLY didn’t listen to her. Now the big differences is that your conversation with your wife is private but your conversation with your followers is public for the whole world to see. Be sincere, genuine and engage!
