How to Find Someone on All Social Networks: 4 Step-by-Step Methods

If you're looking to find someone on all social networks free, you're in the right place.

I must admit, I've done some thorough online research in my time. By that, I mean scrolling through every photo someone's been tagged in since 2009.

From my experience, I can tell you that it's entirely possible to find a lot of information about someone online, even if all you have is their name.

In this guide, I'll show you how to improve your online searching skills and locate individuals on all social networks for free, even if they have hidden profiles or limited social media activity.

1. Use People Search Tools

If you find yourself frequently Googling things like “How do I find out someone's address” or “What is John Smith's phone number,” then a people search site might be worth considering.

People search tools are designed to help you find information about people. They can be used for a variety of purposes, including

  • Finding old friends
  • Researching potential business partners
  • Checking up on someone you met on a dating site

There are many different people search tools available, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. The best people search tool for you will depend on your specific needs. Here are the best people search tools that you should check out:

TruthFinder

TruthFinder is a website that allows you to find out information about people. It is similar to a background check, but it is much more comprehensive.

You can find criminal records, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and much more. You can use this platform to look for people based on their address, email address, name, and phone number.

What’s more, it has different tools for checking a person’s background, public records, and more. You can even use their reverse lookup tool to find someone online.

PeopleFinder

PeopleFinder is a tool that helps you find people. It's simple to use and it's free. Just enter the person's name, city, and state, and Peoplefinder will do the rest.

If you're looking for someone who you think might be in the PeopleFinder database, try searching for their name in quotation marks. For example, if you're looking for John Smith, try searching for “John Smith”. This will help PeopleFinder find the person you're looking for faster.

PeopleLooker

PeopleLooker is a website that allows users to access public records and background information on just about anyone.

Here's how it works:

Users simply enter the name of the person they're interested in into the search bar, and PeopleLooker will return a detailed report with that person's criminal history, arrest records, contact information, and more.

On this platform, you can also use more advanced search options including Reverse Phone, Email Lookup, Username Search, and more.

Social Catfish

Social Catfish is a reverse name search tool that can be used to look up people by their email addresses or phone number. This is useful if you're trying to find someone who's been harassing you online, or if you're curious about who's behind a particular email address.

Social Catfish also has a few other features that make it worth checking out. For example, you can use it to see if an email address has been linked to any known scams. You can also use it to perform a reverse image search, which can help you find someone's social media profile if all you have is a picture of them.

BeenVerified

BeenVerified is a tool that allows you to search for people and businesses. It is similar to other people search engines, but it has some unique features that make it stand out from the rest. For one, it has options for Vehicle Lookup and Unclaimed Money.

Just like the other tools on this list, this one is pretty easy to use. You just need to enter the first and last name of the person you want to search for. Alternatively, you can enter their email, phone number, address, or even vehicle search to find out more about them.

Lullar

Lullar is a website that allows you to search for people by name, email, or username. It's basically like a reverse Google: instead of searching the web for information, you search Lullar for people.

And it's not just limited to finding contact information; you can also find out things like what someone does for a living, where they live, and even how much money they make. All you need is their first and last name (or email address/username).

Among all the other websites mentioned in this list, Lullar has the most simple interface. As you can see in the screenshot below, there is one search bar where you can enter the details you wish. Clean and easy to understand, isn’t it?

2. Use Software Extensions

If you want to find someone on all social networks, there are some relevant software extensions that can help you do so. These software extensions can help you search for a person by their name, email address, or phone number. They can also help you find a person's social media profiles, including their LinkedIn profile, Facebook profile, and Twitter profile.

There are many software extensions that can be used to find someone on all social sites. However, not all of them are effective.

In this section, we will suggest the most relevant and effective software extensions that can be used to find someone on all social networks.

ManyContacts

ManyContacts is a web-based tool that works well with Gmail. When you open your Gmail account in a web browser and hover over any contact information in your address book, the social media accounts connected to that email will appear.

When you click on any of the profiles that appear there, the tool will directly take you to the concerned website. If you had to search the contacts and profiles manually, it would take a ton of time.

With this extension, you get all that research quickly. What’s more, you can even extract emails and find out details about the sender with ManyContacts.

Check out the screenshot below to see how ManyContacts extensions work with Gmail:

You can search for companies by typing in the name of the organization you want to connect with. This will show you a list of contacts that are available at that company.

Simply enter the name or organization of the person you're looking for, and ClearBit Connect will do the rest. In seconds, you'll have a list of potential email addresses to choose from. Align with social handles, you’ll also be able to look at company size, funding, role, and other important details.

3. Use Google Search

I’m sure you already know that Google can be the easiest way to find someone on all social media networks for free. It’s common knowledge, so I put this point down the list. I do have one piece of advice though:

First, go to Google and type in the person's name followed by the word “social.” This should bring up a list of social networks that the person is on. If it doesn't, try adding quotation marks around the person's name.

Next, click on each of the social networks one by one and see if you can find the person you're looking for. This method can be very tedious, especially if you are looking for a person with a very common name.

What if you don’t have the name of a person but you’ve got a photo of them? Try using Google Reverse Image Search.

4. Do a Manual Search

If none of the above-mentioned tactics appeal to you, you can do a manual search on each social media platform. If you know you want to find someone only on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, it makes sense to try this method.

All social media platforms have powerful built-in search tools that make it easy for you to look for specific profiles. In this section, let’s take a look at how you can use the built-in search tool for each platform.

Instagram

If you already know someone’s username on IG, this method becomes really easy to follow. All you need to do is open the IG app and go to the search icon i.e. the magnifying glass icon. You should find it at the bottom of the screen, right next to the home icon.

Then, type for the username in the search field. You’ll get a list of accounts related to the username you entered under the search option. Scroll through the account list and see if you find what you are looking for.

Keep in mind that on Instagram, you can only look for someone using their username. You can’t add an email address or phone number to look for a profile.

There is also another way to look for someone’s profile on Instagram. If you might have mutual friends, go to their profile and check your mutual friend’s Follower or Following list.

Facebook

Similar to Instagram, Facebook has a search bar right at the top of your profile. Tap on the magnifying glass icon and enter the username or phone number.

If you’re looking for someone on Facebook via their username, the process is pretty straightforward. You’ll get a list of accounts that are related to your search term.

However, if you want to look for someone via their phone number, you’ll need to make sure that you sync your contact list with Facebook.

Here are the steps you need to follow to find someone on Facebook by syncing your contact details:

  • Open the Facebook app.
  • Click on the Menu icon (three lines) that you see in the upper-right corner.
  • Select “Find Friends.”

Twitter

On Twitter, it’s easy to look for someone’s profile if you have their username via the search function. The platform will give you results that are filtered into categories like Entertainment, News, Trending, Sports, and others.

But what if you have someone’s contact details only in your address book and you want to find them on Twitter? In that case, you should follow the following steps:

  • Click on your profile icon.
  • Click on Settings and Privacy.
  • Click on Privacy and Safety
  • Click on Discoverability and Contacts.
  • Click on the option to sync address book contacts

When you sync contacts, Twitter will automatically show you a list of Twitter profiles whose contacts are saved in your address book.
