- Check for Search Suggestions on Bing: Don’t just focus on Google. You can also check search engines like Bing for keywords. Add all of the keywords that aren’t already in your spreadsheet. This will give you a comprehensive list of keywords to target.
After your list is ready, it’s time to prune it further. Go through the list and weed out all of the keywords that do not communicate user intent clearly. Anything that isn’t specific doesn’t need to be on your list.
For example, if you have a keyword like “Nike shoes,” you should filter it out. Unless the color or shoe model is mentioned, it’s not worth your time.
