The company received over $500,000 in funding six months ago and is seeking to secure an additional $7-$10 million for further development of the website and app. Barker is from Sacramento, CA and Modera’s executive and design team are all natives of Uzbekistan. The firm’s other co-founders, Marat Ibragimov and Nodir Mirsaidov, will be relocating to the Sacramento in February to join Barker in pursing Series A funding.
