What Users Are Saying About GoToMeeting

For remote meetings and webinars, GoToMeeting has shown to be a dependable and effective tool in my experience. The capability to record meetings for later viewing and the screen sharing tool are two features that I greatly value.

Without using email attachments or hard copies, the screen sharing feature has been crucial in enabling me to instantly share presentations and papers with coworkers and clients.

Having the content recorded has also made it possible for participants who were unable to see the live session to access it afterwards.

GoToMeeting may not be as user-friendly as some other video conferencing solutions, which is a possible disadvantage.
David Louvet
CEO and Founder of Innovet Pet Products

What Users Say About Zoom

I use Zoom for a lot of different things—the main reason I like it is that it's so easy to use.

It's got all sorts of features, but they're all super intuitive, so you can get started right away without having to spend hours learning new software.

I also love that Zoom has mobile apps, so I can do all my work on my phone or tablet if I want to (but usually I prefer my laptop).

Plus it integrates with everything I use like Google Docs and Dropbox, so it's super easy to get your materials ready before each meeting. And the best part: no need for headsets!
Gauri Manglik,
CEO and Co-Founder of Instrumentl

5. Google Meet

Developed by Google, this video conferencing tool is accessible through a web browser or a mobile app. It’s a good Zoom alternative that I use often to communicate with my team.

You can join a meeting using a link provided by the meeting organizer or by entering a meeting code.

googlemeet video conferencing software

Participants can record and share their screens, present slides, chat, and collaborate in real time. Plus, you can also use a whiteboard or check meeting captions.

googlemeet video conferencing

What makes Google Meet stand out from other video conferencing platforms is its seamless integration with other Google Workspace apps, such as Gmail and Google Calendar.

That’s why you can easily schedule and join meetings directly from their email or calendar, making it a convenient option for busy professionals.

Key Features

  • Host up to 500 participants in an online meeting with a paid plan
  • Record and share your screen in online meetings
  • Noise cancellation and digital whiteboards
  • Live captions available in English
  • Approve who joins and stays in your meetings

What Users Are Saying About Google Meet

Compared to the rest, GoogleMeet  is pretty user-friendly and has a range of features that make it easier for me to communicate with my teams.

The interface is simple and is pretty much like Zoom (which I prefer and use a lot) so I can quickly connect people from all over the world without any trouble.

I also love the way that it syncs with my Google calendar (and sends a notification in my Mail), since it's easy for me to get schedules mixed up, especially since we work on a fully remote setup.

Another good feature is the ability to save chat messages even after the meeting is done. Zoom does not allow that.  One huge downside is that sometimes there are issues with the audio or video quality which makes it difficult to communicate effectively.
Another would be the inability to chat with an individual person privately (unlike in Zoom).

This pushes people to jump to a different platform just to send a message, instead of doing everything on the same platform.
Alex Milligan,
Co-Founder & CMO of NuggMD

6. Microsoft Teams

With a simple interface and intuitive controls, Teams makes it easy for participants to join a video call, share their screen, and collaborate in real-time.

Teams also offers a range of customization options, including the ability to choose a virtual background, adjust audio settings, and control camera angles, which can help to enhance the overall user experience.

microsoft teams video conferencing program

Another advantage of using Microsoft Teams for video conferencing is its integration with other Microsoft applications.

Teams integrates with other Microsoft tools, such as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. This can make it easy to switch between apps and finish your work seamlessly.

Because of its integration with Microsoft Polls and Microsoft Forms, you can even conduct and save interactive polls. Using it, you will be able to check dynamic results as the responses start coming in.

googlemeet polls and chat

What’s unique about this video conferencing software is that it also enables you to send pre-recorded video messages to your team.

This feature can be really helpful in making important announcements or providing one-to-one feedback to team members.

googlemeet recorded video

To make sure that your team doesn’t miss any update messages, you can even mark them as “Important” or “Urgent.”

Microsoft Teams tags such messages as high priority and pings the user every two minutes for 20 minutes. If they still don’t read the message, the software program will continue pinging them.

Because of its rich functionality, I’ve also included this platform in my list of the best Slack alternatives

Key Features

  • Change or blur your background
  • Make, receive, and transfer calls within the app
  • Group calling and voicemail within the Teams app
  • Edit and share Word, Powerpoint, and Excel files
  • Send stickers, GIFs, and emojis in group or one-to-one chats

Pricing

  • Free plan available
  • Microsoft Teams Essentials Plan: $4/user/month
  • Microsoft 365 Business Basic Plan: $6/user/month
  • Microsoft Teams Essentials Plan: $4/user/month
  • Microsoft 365 Business Standard Plan: $12.50/user/month

What Users Are Saying About Microsoft Teams

It’s very programmer-friendly, and the possibilities for integration keep growing. For example, we created a plugin to automatically generate agendas for upcoming meetings.

It’s available on all platforms with strong support from Microsoft, who have put their weight behind it. Even if you don’t have the app installed, you can use the web client to join a call, no installation required. Of course, functionality is limited.

What I don’t like is that the app is a bit heavy in resource requirements. It feels like the Mac version is a tiny bit behind the rest in terms of new features and support, including some minor glitches now and then.
Pablo Diaz-Gutierrez,
Co-Founder of Appfluence
